Welcome to Calvary's AWANA Program

Calvary Baptist Church is excited to announce that Cornerstone Kids and Collide Programs will be joining us on Wednesday nights for AWANA! We are excited to see what the Lord has in store for Calvary and Cornerstone for this AWANA year!

At Calvary our mission is to shine the light of Christ into a spiritually darkened world. To do that we start by reaching out locally. Our Wednesday night AWANA program is our largest local outreach and discipleship effort.

Each Wednesday night we serve dinner at 5:00pm - no charge. At 5:40pm opening ceremonies begin, and shortly thereafter the kids and students will transition to age-appropriate groups to study, hear and discuss God's Word. Pickup is at 7:20, immediately following the closing ceremony.

About AWANA

Calvary's AWANA program was founded in 2008 by Allison Bishop. The establishment of this vital ministry has served many families since it's founding. Under Allison's leadership, Calvary's AWANA program has grown from a group of about a dozen kids and youth to over 250 local young people being reached and discipled each week as God's unshakeable Word is sown into the fertile soil of their young hearts. Allison served as the AWANA Director until the 2019 AWANA year, with the rising of two new AWANA Director's, Alicia Wilson and Laura Young

Meet the AWANA Directors

Alicia Wilson & Laura Young

Alicia & Laura took over as our AWANA Directors in 2019. They play an important role in carrying out each AWANA service, as they are prepared & empowered to use AWANA to effectively disciple the children at Calvary.
